Publisher's Synopsis

A story of a lonely man that lives in a small town in Maine. He's a fisherman by trade but boredom has guided his life to one thing. He wants to buy a sailing ship and sail off into oblivion and never return. He has saved a small amount of money but not enough to buy a ship until his girl friend lends him enough to buy what he wants. He tried to get away from it all in his ship but his girlfriend says no. She wants to go with him. He objects but she convinced him that the trip would solve an old myth about The Helmsman. A pirate ghost of long ago has been seen in the waters up and down the eastern coast but no one has yet to come close enough to actually see him, only his old ship. He told her that he would take her along to pilot the ship for him. He had no idea how to sail a large sailing ship but she did. Turns out that they married before the trip just to make things honest and off in the ship they sailed.
