The Heart Is A Tree Cut Down is the fourth collection of poetry by Jeremy Mark Ritch. As his most recent work, this book explores Ritch's struggles and thoughts about the issues of mental illness, addiction, religion, sex, heroes, loss, love and hope. It is a vast collection of the bulk of Jeremy's work between 2016 and 2018. There are a few pieces that were revised from his three older books as well. This book features cover art by Harrisburg, Pennsylvania artist Stephen Michael Hass.
