Publisher's Synopsis
When William Stoval is hanged for the "butchering" of cattle on the Circle K Ranch, a chain of events is brought into play that Deputy Gant has to deal with in THE HANGING AT STINKING CREEK. Gant examines the scene of the crime. In doing so, he doubts that the boy was guilty. The Stoval boy was not guilty. Ruther Logan was. He, with his cousins, continues to commit crimes, while William Stoval's family heads to Twin Oaks to avenge the boy's death. Tossed in to this mix is a fair amount of Western romance and adventure.
