Publisher's Synopsis
The Commonwealth Secretariat has produced a series of ‘accession kits’ for international conventions that are designed to keep Commonwealth governments, who are not parties to the conventions with which they deal, fully informed of relevant international developments and to facilitate accession by them should they wish. This is an updated version of book three in the series, originally published in 1981 and revised in 1990. It includes the full text of The Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction, a commentary on the text and guidance as to decisions required prior to accession and as to possible legislation. This edition reflects further developments in the case law.
