In the Portland Region of the Kingdom of Valtoria, lies the city of Seaside. It is a vast city walled in by towers and built one building on top of the other. Alleys are winding and confusing even if you were born here. The streets start at ground level and become the rooftops of most places. Many lower buildings are stone and upper levels are wood. The design is unique to this city alone. Outsiders go nowhere without a guide and you must choose your guide wisely.PrologueClaemairem is a world filled with fantasy and wonders. There are three main continents, Abale, Sejoph, and Agers. Agers is a savage land with many sections filled with treasures from the past and hope for the new. Sejoph is an oriental land that has a dragon protecting every town and every town protecting the dragon's hoard. It is a civil land when not at war with itself, which is most of the time. Abale is a diverse continent separated by huge mountain chains. It has a little of everything from civilized lands in the east to unexplored forest of the west. Down south is vast deserts are teaming with nomadic life and four cities. But there are some cities a lot bigger in the world. This tale is centered on one city of all the vastness of the world. There is a guild called Step This Way. It is a bonded guild and its members are respected for what they do. They are not just guides, but in times of need, they are also protectors, port inspectors, investigators, and hunters for a price. They go everywhere and to every level. Only the fool hardy interfere with them, but in a city this large there are fools everywhere.
