The epic post-apocalyptic zombie saga Zevolution continues in book two, The Green City. Diamond City, the last human city on Earth, rests at the edge of complete breakdown. The rebel faction has seized one of their scientists to create a human-zombie hybrid race. The young men tasked with protecting the city are seduced by rebellion. Its leaders struggle to retain control in an increasingly volatile situation. All the while, a mysterious city to the west, the Green City, arisen from ash and constructed from obsidian rock, houses an evolving zombie society with its eye now turned to Diamond.
