An older man, Johnny, down on his luck, adopts the stage name Rickey Haley, the long lost younger brother of Bobbey Haley, a fictional rock star from an overwhelmingly popular movies series from the 1960s. Johnny sings and plays guitar, and has written some original music. His first performance is on a Friday night in January at a dance club in Woodburyport, a coastal town in northeast Massachusetts, on the Woodbury River, and just west of Pear Island on the Atlantic Ocean. A snowstorm and cold weather are in the forecast, and few are expected to attend. The two popular servers, Chad and Sandra, prepare for a slow night. But the owner has a feeling that the night may be special. He senses a rare energy emanating from Johnny. He posts the show on social media and the electric sign out front. The lure of the younger brother of Bobbey Haley works, and soon the club begins to fill up. Social media contributes to the excitement. Sandra dresses up as the lead actress in the 1960s Bobbey Haley movies, and introduces Johnny, using his stage name Rickey Haley, to the patrons, while singing the theme song from the first 1960s Bobbey Haley movie. The club explodes in energy, and social media and the local media blow up over Rickey Haley's show. Romance and love fill the air. Dancing and singing light up the night. Surprise visitors of national importance arrive. Magical things appear to happen. The stories of number of women, young and old, and a few guys at the club are followed as they travel through what Johnny describes as The Greatest Night Out Ever! After the club closes, the story continues throughout the night, as hundreds, led by two women reporters, one from Boston and one from London, search for Johnny. Two others very close and dear to Johnny join the search. The Greatest Night Out Ever culminates on the beach on Pear Island at sunrise in a magical and wonderful time. The world watches.
