Publisher's Synopsis

This book is part biography, part poetry and part picture book. It tracks the life and times of one man seen through his poetry and the influences of the times in which he lived. Beginning in the 1920s and ending in 2013, the story covers his journey from Clerkenwell to Essex and finally to Manchester and Cheshire in his quest to live a good life according to his beliefs. The poems become his expression of feelings and the way in which he conducts his life is the central concept of this book. The photographs, I hope, add context to the stories and poems. *All proceeds from this book go to support the British Polio Fellowship, a registered charity in England and Wales (1108335) and in Scotland (SC 038863).
