Publisher's Synopsis

Great Molton is a beautiful town in the West Country which has become so popular that it has grown rapidly like so many other small rural communities.

The Liberal Party Member of Parliament realises that if the town was divided into two parts, his Party might be able to win two seats at the next General Election. He manages to convince the Council to draw up a plan which means demolishing and rebuilding over a hundred houses as well as affecting businesses. Needless to say the people are not happy.

They come out in their hundreds to protest outside the Town Hall and the Council is taken to Court. The Judge rules the Council should redraw the plan without undertaking the carnage that was originally planned, so another plan is produced to build a new town alongside Great Molton.

However the land is owned by The Tiger Building Company and during negotiations it is discovered the true owner of the land wants to build a large casino and a theme park. Big business begins to fight local government.

But it's not just the business and the government who are playing games with people's lives. There are a number of illicit affairs going on in the town and emotions flare. The Tramp for a Day scheme is the trigger point for all.

This is a tale of political endeavour with passion and characters to match.
