The Gospel of Schizophrenia is about Richard's personal journey through his own mental illness. He writes poetry on the topic of schizophrenia with the hope it will relate to others experiencing the same issues.The Gospel of Schizophrenia is designed to be read cover to cover, this book is pieced together as Auto-Biographical Contemporary Free-Verse Poetry and is a poetical journey through mental illness. Through Auto-Biographical Contemporary Free-Verse style, he reflects on the lived experience of his mental illness. This collection of poems showcases some of the challenges of having schizophrenia, humorous situations and characters he has met along the way.Richard finally named himself as a media and arts based mental health advocate in 2012 after creating poetry, writing articles and making short films on the subject. Born in Bowral, Australia he has lived in rural New South Wales most of his life, with the exception of 2003 and 2004, when he lived in Mount Gambier, South Australia for nineteen months. Rekindling the power of the pen, he started writing poetry in late 2006 and hasn't stopped since.
