Publisher's Synopsis
The Gospel of Jesus, New Covenant Translation is a chronological harmonized reader's gospel intended to provide a seamless reading experience with fewer distractions like chapter and verse numbers, red letters, and cross-references. Hearkening back to how the Gospel appeared in its earliest written forms. Meeting the needs of new, and growing followers of Jesus to learn and understand what Jesus said and did. We live and learn in story, Jesus taught in stories called parables, I have endeavored to capture the Story that is Jesus within the five Gospels; Mark, Luke, Matthew, John, and Thomas, and Acts.A chronological gospel is simply ordered in time, from beginning, through the middle, to the end.A harmonized gospel weaves together sections of scripture into a single narrative, merging the five gospels into a single cohesive account. Reorganizing the gospels, and choosing the parallel passages creating a coherent narrative, while staying true to the Gospel message was and is imperative.I created this gospel translation because over the years of Bible studies, Sunday School classes, and conversations the same questions come up; why are the same events in the four canonical gospels in different orders, why aren't all the events recorded in all the gospels, where should a seeker or new believer start in the bible, what is most important for the growing believer to read and study in scripture? My answer to those questions is this work. My intention, prayer, and calling are to expand this work into a study bible, and a source for bible studies. All of them culminating in a body of work used to build up followers of Jesus.
