Publisher's Synopsis

The world looks at the Person and the work of Jesus Christ as if there would be a total failure, because of its "live your life now" approach. For the world, Christ may have existed, but He failed to solve man's dilemma of suffering, pain, and death, because the world looks at the outward things. But for those who have been saved by this Christ, He is a glorious Redeemer. He is glorious by being the very revelation of God the Father. He is glorious in His creating and coming in this fallen world. He is glorious His humiliation, in His death, and in His resurrection. He is glorious in His ascension and exaltation, and He will be glorious in His second coming. In this book, the author invites you on a journey to learn more of this glorious Redeemer, to adore Him more, to praise Him more. This book has been originally published in 1844. The current edition has been edited, proofread, and slightly adapted for modern readers, together with an interactive table of contents for eBook readers. About the author: Octavius Winslow (1808-1878), a descendant of one of the leading New England Puritans, Edward Winslow, was born in London on August 1, 1808, and served as chaplain at Leamington Spa, Bath, and Brighton. He was also a close friend to Charles Spurgeon, who invited him very often to preach at Metropolitan Tabernacle. Octavius Winslow died on March 5, 1878.
