In 1897, a Ukrainian farmer uncovers a gold amulet from a Bronze Age burial site. This discovery sets in motion a chain of events that brings us to present-day New York and Sarah, a jewish Lawyer of Slovakian descent, is hired to repossess a house in Eastern Slovakia.
