Publisher's Synopsis

Nora Simmons has come to Valentine Island to gather information for Barnaby Valentine's memoirs. That's not her only reason for coming. Phil Rogers is a writer and photographer. He is there to photograph the Ghost and Galleon festival. He also has another mission. Before Nora even arrives on the island, someone shoves her toward Mobile Bay. Phil catches her. They both feel a strong chemistry between them. However, neither is interested in getting involved with another until they each have solved a mystery in their lives. Nora spends time with both Barnaby and Phil, but they also meet Barnaby's late wife who can't cross over until her murderer is found. She asks for Nora's help and suggests she work with Phil. They eventually tell each other the truth about their real reasons for being on the island and decide to work together while their passion flares. While mapping the tunnels, Phil discovers the Valentine treasure. Michael Stewart and his ghostly crew have been tasked to guard the treasure until the rightful heir finds it. While exploring the cave, they come upon some thugs stealing part of the treasure. The men tie them up and leave them as the tide comes in.
