Two single parent families live across the alley from each other in a small town in Minnesota. David, son of Ralph Norby, witnessed the murder of his mother when he was 4. Angie, daughter of Helen Smith, had her father disappear prior to her birth. Angie and David grow up and attend the same school. At age 14 David began helping Angie's mother with her garden. David has an itch for Angie, but she wants nothing to do with him. God plays an important role in David's life, while Angie has no time for God, gets into drugs and serves time in a rehab center when she gets out of high school. David becomes an agency spy involved with investigating drug trafficking and smuggling, industrial espionage, and human trafficking. His career tests his Christian principles while he waits for Angie to mend her ways with God, and to fall in love with David. It may never happen, but he keeps praying. When hope for his romantic future seems lost, David and Angie's lives meet in a kidnapping and human trafficking case. Can God cause Angie to turn her life around and to fall in love with David? What will it take? Roger Quam lives in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He enjoys gardening, writing, classical music, Bible study and drinking lots of coffee. In 1963 he met his wife Martha on a Greyhound bus and they been happily married for 51 years. They have four children, two grandchildren and attend Prairie Hills Covenant Church. Roger has had 4 careers: as an engineer and plant manager, starting and owning a business, and working at a Christian Rescue Mission. He retired in 2006 from Citibank. He has two degrees from the University of Minnesota-Business and Engineering. He writes in the Christian Adventure Romance style. He has written 7 novels.
