Robert Hugh Benson (1871-1914), the son of the Anglican Archbishop of Canterbury and brother of novelist E.F. Benson, was ordained a Catholic priest in 1904. He was a prolific writer, composing poems, plays, novels, and numerous sermons and devotional works. Lord of the World, his apocalyptic novel, has been praised by Pope Francis as being prophetic.
