Publisher's Synopsis

A horror screenplay, "The Friendly Family" is like "The Devil's Rejects" meets "Scream." The story is about BLAIR, a teenager who's tormented by her dark past; a past she shared with serial-killer parents. The script begins as a five-year-old Blair watches her parents commit a home invasion; a home invasion that culminates in the police showing up, her mother getting killed, and her father, WALTER, managing to escape. Twelve years later, Blair gets adopted by a young married couple, IVEY and SEAN, and together, they all move back to the town where Blair last saw her biological parents. At first, things go well until classmates and locals begin to turn up dead, leading Blair to believe Walter's returned for her. The vicious memories that Blair suffers from are later compounded when she finds out some of the people around her are hiding dark secrets and that they too, like her parents, have a very strong appetite for torture and bloodshed. "The Friendly Family" is relentless in its penchant for both creative twists and gruesome scares; a combination that makes it stand out amongst other, more derivative slasher scripts.
