When British officer Harry Feversham quits the military just before his regiment sails off to war, he is given four white feathers as symbols of cowardice by each of his three best friends and his fiance. To prove his honor, he dons a disguise and leaves for the Sudan, where he anonymously saves each of his friends' lives.
