Publisher's Synopsis
An elderly man nearing death (Carmine) reunites his two nephews (Rosario e Adriano) with whom he has fought for many years. The disappointment of the two brothers, who awaited an apology, manifests itself as soon as the relative begins to tell a story about the winter of 1943, in the middle of Italy's campaign of the Second World War. In the story of the dying man, a group of disbanded Italian soldiers, a mad German Colonel dressed in a Scottish kilt, a Nazi homosexual Lieutenant, a redhead poisoned by the desire for revenge, a gigantic Maori and a sadistic French Captain will inevitably face each other in a history of violence and betrayal, where the war with conventional weapons will be joined by the psychological of the individual characters, each with the weight of their history behind. The inexplicable and seemingly meaningless story of the uncle will actually be the key to deciphering the mysterious death of an elderly gentleman in the present day.
