Joe Moore is feeling under the weather. He isn't sick. He's just worried about his grandson's recent diagnosis of an inoperable brain tumor. As if that wasn't enough, a tall, skinny man suddenly appears under the old oak tree at the end of his street. Joe Moore shepherds an entire neighborhood, sometimes with compassion and wisdom, sometimes with a hustler's hard edge. Through a life of hardships and triumphs, Joe refuses to exist without purpose, live without passion, or die without cause.
