Publisher's Synopsis

Eli and his friends journey back from Druel, having picked up a few more passengers than originally planned, expecting to see Stropgidis at a time of peace. Instead, they are confronted with an unlikely group of fishermen and a port that has been demolished. Instead of seeing the standard flying high, they are dismayed to find out that an enemy has done everything possible to destroy it and the hopes of the people. Eli and the others try to discover who has taken over the island and where all of their people are. Have they been taken as prisoners? Are they dead? Are they in hiding? Although there are many unanswered questions of which they are uncertain, one thing is for sure. They are determined to rescue who they can and take back the island. Fortunately, Eli knows of a secret place to hide. The 'Councilmen's Tunnel.' The only problem is that they discover it is being occupied by someone else. They have to verify what foe is in it while trying to rescue their friends and families. Without knowing what is happening to all of the people, they know that they have to move quickly and get them to the safety of the tunnel before they are killed or endure more suffering. Although they are able to use the maze of tunnels, they are aware that it is only a temporary solution. They have to take all of the tunnels. And quickly.
