Esoteric science, as Rudolf Steiner himself states, is not something that is learned or explained as academic study or knowledge, but is aimed at the growth and completion of the learner's own spiritual life. Since the author met Steiner's esoteric science in 1972, he has been studying on his own from time to time, but in the last decade or so, the reality of spiritual life has become urgent; and so he began to read Steiner's writings, books and many lecture notes again. This book is a compilation of the important themes of spirituality that he gained during that period and is a part of his own creative life. This book was originally written in Japanese and English. The author wishes that people around the world will become interested in two major themes of earthly life and share a universal understanding through Steiner's esoteric science.* (*Steiner's esoteric science means his core teachings) About the author: Shinji Gyohten was born in Japan in 1952. He received a bachelor's degree in philosophy of science and a master's degree in modern German philosophy in Japan, also a master's degree in religious education in the United States. He worked as a journalist in Japan, the United Kingdom and Estonia.
