Publisher's Synopsis
This is the second edition of the earlier published The Erzurum Congress. The revisions relate to the formatting and application of the Chicago Manual of Style, the Seventeenth Edition. Content remains the same. It is dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of the formation of the Republic of Türkiye.
The Erzurum Congress is the first in the series "History of Turkish National Struggle" and covers the period from 1918 to 1920. It contains the beginning phases of the Turkish National Resistance Movement after its defeat in the First World War, the formation of the Defence of Rights organizations in Trabzon and Erzurum, and culminates in the Erzurum Congress. These series of books were originally in Turkish and used by many English-speaking authors as references. The objective is to make these books available to a broader audience. The second book in the series, The Sivas Congress and the third Third Constitutional Monarchy are also available in English. Work is continuing on the fourth book, Toward the Formation of the Republic.
