Publisher's Synopsis

This is another in the series of Lent books by Tony Kidd, following the same format as previous ones. It is, however, also designed to have a wider usefulness, being an introduction to the practice of Christian spirituality. The chapters cover the following subjects: introduction to spirituality, being right with God, the place of the Bible, feelings and intercession, silent contemplation drawing close to Jesus. Each chapter has biblical readings, way in questions, meditations, worship suggestions (including appropriate music) and discussion questions. The opening questions are designed for either one to one discussion or for the whole group. At the end of each study is a list of Bible passages for reading over the next week, both to reflect on what has been learned and as a preparation for the next week's study.
