In this beautifully illustrated story, we meet the eagle as a fearful chick who finds comfort in the moonlight on dark and lonely nights. As the chick grows into a fledgling, he slowly understands that the goddess moon is always present, even if she takes different forms or is hidden from his view. When the growing eagle learns to trust in the abiding care of the goddess moon, he is able to realize his soaring natural power. The last pages of the book contain black-and-white storyline pictures for children to color as they wish.
