Publisher's Synopsis
Churchill captures Edward and Hannah's marriage while also revealing the courting of Janet and Lise. Complications grow as Janet finds love with the agent of the mill, Mr. Ditmar, but later joins the strike. After sympathizing with the strikers, Janet is pushed to the limit in her relationship with Mr. Ditmar and later comes to self-realization.
