Wilbur Whateley, the son of a deformed albino mother and an unknown father (alluded to in passing by the crazy Old Whateley as "Yog-Sothoth"), and the unusual events surrounding his birth and precocious growth are told in H.P. Lovecraft's "The Dunwich Horror." Wilbur matures at an extraordinarily fast pace, reaching adulthood in less than a decade. His sorcerer grandfather is indoctrinating him into sinister practises and the study of witchcraft at the same time.
