Publisher's Synopsis

It's 55 AD in the quiet west of Scotland. Villagers farm in the shadow of an eery forest. A forest that draws men to it. Men who do not return.

A dead chief returns to warn of approaching menace

A deep, black loch hides a lead sarcophagus quivering with frustration.

A girl with a strange bracelet disappears. Her brothers, a Druid and a Warrior, vow to find her, search a chief's grave, and turn to the dark forest, where a faerie directs them to the loch...

They rescue a captivating young woman, buried alive by the monstrous Master of the Vates. He plans to burn children, yet one, Andra, is strangely mature, quietly unafraid. She shares her name with the mythical Queen of the Dragons.

And there's the mystery of the faerie bracelet made of jet...

The beautiful glens of Western Scotland are the background to this story of magic, dragons, faeries, and ravenous hunger, confined for a millennium.

With excitement, humour, romance, and authentic detail, The Druid and the Bracelet brings the ancient Celts to vivid life.

Rewritten and enlarged in this 331 page 2018 edition!

'The Druid and the Bracelet' was written before 'Antler Jinny and the Raven', but rewritten after that book was completed. It is more of a fantasy, where 'Antler Jinny and the Raven', while a fantasy, is more character-driven. They share some characters including Druid Lailoken, Erbert the Ogre, and Grizel the faerie. You can read the books in either order, but both are enthralling, and having read one, you WILL want to read the other!

It is suitable for all ages above about 16. There are several strong female characters.
