For the dissection of the muscles, a body is to be pre ferred which is fully developed in this particular; not corpulent, lean, or (edematous; of one who has died sud denly is best, and of an adult age, and a male. For mak ing preparations, lean, emaciated subjects are preferable. Dropsical bodies show the lymphatic system more fully and distinctly. The young are the proper subjects for the investigation of the nerves.
