This is poetry, and yes, one will find beautiful sonnets, philosophical considerations, personal reflection, descriptions of spiritual events and out of body experiences; but Earth is no longer the Eden it may once have been, and we will, also, read about tragedy, conspiracy theories, estrangement, and even the macabre demise of a psychopath. This all makes for a interesting journey through a broad spectrum of emotions. The Destiny of Stuff was compiled with considerable attention given to the input of readers familiar with the poet's work. While the poems stand on their own and are a quality of communication resulting in art, an extensive glossary was added as an aid to understanding that communication. Some of the poems are annotated in a somewhat conversational and autobiographical way, as if the author is letting his audience in on something he shouldn't be talking about. These supplemental features elevate the book beyond just another collection of poems. They provide clarity and an unusual insight into the creative mind of an artist.
