Publisher's Synopsis
A seemingly normal hospital ward suddenly turns into the stage where patients from the Arno Klein psychiatric wing play doctors and nurses - or do they? Talk is sought as a barrier against death, to "keep the world turning," but the conversation is continually interrupted. Act II takes the reader to a motel where a man in a straightjacket acts as a TV set, and guests idly change channels - an elusive troupe of actors is eagerly awaited and performs.
