If any apology be necessary for adverting to cir cumstances, which it might be thought had been better treated with the silence Of contempt, let it be found in the sensitive delicacy of my sex, and the respectability of a condition in 'life, which, though it cannot shield me from injustice in others, teaches me to regard myself, and thus to repel in sinuations entirely and totally unfounded.
