Publisher's Synopsis
Book Three of An Empyrian Odyssey
Flames and fear emerge from the darkness as Tamsin's attempt to free Haven from the Ravine of Bones is threatened. But those aren't the only things to arise out of the desert. Outcasts, once buried in the past, appear just as new depths to Tamsin's power make themselves known. Both bring new mysteries and dangerous repercussions that could initiate disaster for Tamsin and the Ma'diin. But an ancient enemy also lies in wait, eager to be unleashed.
Across the sands, tensions ignite as the Empyrian rebels ready themselves to take on the might of Cornelius' regime. Georgiana makes a devastating discovery, forcing her to take measures and the lives of the rebels into her own hands. Beyond the mountains, Emilia and Lord Urbane gather evidence to take to the Council in hopes of liberating Empyria, but conspirators endanger their plans. However, all of their efforts could be undone as a threat no one foresaw amasses on the horizon, sending the shadows of armies, allies and enemies on a path of collision.
If a way cannot be found to defeat the Master, then a fury, thousands of years in the making, will spread across land and sea, leaving only destruction and ashes in its wake. But to do so, an impossible choice lies before Tamsin and in her darkest moment, she must challenge fate.
But Fate has a dark side, and it will fight back.
