Publisher's Synopsis

Book Synopsis: The Comeuppance (Revenge) by Skye Gordon The Comeuppance tells the story of Sheila, a woman who, for over forty years, lives a dark and turbulent sex-addicted life. In her youth, young Sheila is sexually abused by her cousin Romy and his friends, under the impression that their escapades were nothing more than harmless games. Sheila, who was already living miserably, found these -games- to be the most exciting part of her life, as she loved the attention she got from it. In spite of this, Sheila grows depressed in the household, and eventually begs Fely to take her away from her family, even if wherever she ends up means more labor. Moved by this, Fely takes Sheila to an orphanage run by an elderly Mother Superior. Sheila fares much better at the orphanage and stays for the next few years into her early teenage life, eventually becoming a role model for the young children, though a task that brings young Sheila and the resident priest together leads to even more sexual escapades that bolsters her lustful proclivities. In her late teens, Sheila is employed by Michael, a businessman specializing in S&M. For the next few years, Sheila poses as enticing foreign women to Michael's clients. She proves to be a very lucrative employee and finds great wealth and prestige as a highly sought-after prostitute. Through the years, she even becomes Michael's right-hand woman in business, and together, they continue to expand their empire. Sheila's story sees her attempting to escape the shadow of her depressing past of sexual addiction and sense of worthlessness, even if it means enacting the darkest revenge against the family that started her down her tragic path.
