Publisher's Synopsis
Nathan Johnston, Caleb Delaney, and Mr. McKinley have nothing in common. One is a religious, flamboyant multimillionaire while the other uses his leverage to rob people of their hard-earned money. And the third? He just wants to die. At the same time, all have influential women in their lives - a deeply missed grandmother, a beautiful aspiring figure skater, and a runaway first wife. To make things even more complicated, they live in vastly different worlds. Driven by conservatism, libertarianism, and socialism, not one of these individuals seem to get what they want from each other. Threats, prison time, a wild chase that leads from Tennessee to New York, all appear to make one man victorious. In the end, the domino tiles of love, hatred, and greed are well on their way toward eliminating two of these men, until a legend from the past reappears on stage and forcefully challenges the status quo. Is he a villain or a hero? Perhaps he is both.
