The Code of the Woosters decrees that one must never let a pal down. So Bertie must hop off to Totleigh Towers in order to mend a lovers' rift between the daffy Madeline Bassett and newt-fancier Gussie Fink-Nottle. As if patching up things between those two drips wasn't sufficient, Bertie also finds himself required to secure the nuptials of Stiffy Byng and Stinker Pinker - not to mention becoming embroiled in a plot to swipe an antique silver cow-creamer.
