Will Fritz and Lucia, Eryk's closest friends and owners of the di Costanza orchard estate, succeed in getting Eryk and Jasha across the border and free of the deadly clutches of the Nephilim? And how far will the forces of history, myth and the church conspire against Eryk's pursuit of a new life in a new land?
