Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from The Child's Book of Bible Stories, Vol. 1: With Practical Illustrations and Remarks; On the Fall
Adam and Eve, you know, were the first man and woman, and the beautiful garden in which they lived, was called Eden.
God made that garden for them to live in. It was a very delightful place. The air was pure and sweet. The weather was neither too warm/ nor too cold. It was like one of our most pleasant days in the begin ning of summer.
The garden was full of all kinds of beautiful trees, many of which bore the most delicious fruit; and a clear stream ran among them to water the garden. And to make the trees and plants grow.
It was there that Adam and Eve lived -both good and happy; loving God and each other, and taking care of the garden.
