Publisher's Synopsis
A collection of black and white photographs of Stepney, Bethnal Green and Poplar taken between 1860 and 1960. The images were gathered from family albums, local collections and professional photographers. Every photograph is captioned, giving names and dates where possible, and the volume is part of the BRITAIN IN OLD PHOTOGRAPHS series.
