Taran, the assistant pig-keeper, is sent to accompany Eilonwy of the Red Gold Hair on a visit to the Isle of Mona. But then Eilonwy is kidnapped and taken to Caer Colur, the stronghold of the evil Achren. Taran and his companions must rescue her.
