Publisher's Synopsis
The result of over three years' work at the University of Warwick, this series teaches primary-school pupils about the major religions through a study of the families and religious traditions of specific children in Britain. Each of the pupil books focuses on real children from the Christian, Muslim, Jewish or Buddhist community, and shows aspects of each child's daily life, including customs and traditions, and explores the way they feel about their religion. The pupil books are supported by a teacher's resource book which provides background information on the faiths covered, suggested discussion points, significant ideas, activities, and cross-curricular links. It also contains read-aloud, extended versions of each pupil book which explain religious customs and attitudes.;This pack contains five copies of the Key Stage 1 pupil book on Buddhism.
