I have taken the opportunity afforded by a call for a reprint, to get my friend, Mr. G. Bernard Gilbert, the Borough Organist of West Ham, to revise thoroughly the list of Concert Songs for Boys (chap. XVI), and bring it up to date. Mr. Gilbert, who is a highly skilled trainer of boys' voices, has produced a book of voice exercises, entitled Voice-training Exercises for Boys, which I can strongly recommend for use with this book.
To Chaps. XI and XII considerable additions have been made, relating to the work of Dr. Z. Buck, Dr. Huntley, Dr. Madeley Richardson, &c.
