Publisher's Synopsis

The Book of the Watchers, the initial and best-preserved segment of the Book of Enoch, is not "lost," nor is it a "secret." Its contents, translated into English, can easily be found on internet. Although the modern-day Jewish groups known as Beta Israel (originating in Ethiopia) and the Ethiopian Tewahedo Church regard the book of Enoch as canonical, these are exceptions; the normal Old Testament canon was and is limited to the 39 books contained in the Tanakh (Torah + Nevi'im + Ketuvim).
The Book of the Watchers was read by Aramaic-readers in the first century B.C. (as the discovery of fragments of the book of Enoch among the Dead Sea Scrolls shows). The biggest contributing factor involved in its non-acceptance by most people who regarded the 39 Old Testament books as authoritative was not its doctrine, but the combination of the work of later authors with the earlier material, resulting in essential a hybrid-text produced by multiple persons.
Its contents, which informed the minds of several New Testament authors, are present here in English with brief comments by myself (using the pseudonym "J. Solomon").
