An existential war between biologicals and mechs.
In the near future, scientists discover a flickering artificial sun headed towards Earth. Code named "Deimos", this alien threat becomes the impetus for a massive outworld colonization program, the creation of an army of mechs to defend the planet, and a bioengineering initiative to adapt the human race to survive the apocalypse. All of these projects are kept secret from the civilian population, including the orphan Junior Rangers they depend upon.

THE BIO-MECH WAR: SPACE TURTLES
Fourteen-year-old Ivan is fitted with neural nodes to help pilot a Russian generation ship. When his parents are killed on a colony mission through the black hole, Ivan is drafted as a pilot for the Junior Rangers. On the latest mission, colonists are pulled into the middle of a planet wide civil war. During the fighting, Junior Rangers discover that their doctor's neural scanner produces files that can be imported into a mech's brain.
