Publisher's Synopsis
Elyse's parents died suddenly in an accident, and since then she has felt that life has no meaning. One Sunday in January, she even wanted to end her life. On her way home, barely able to pull herself together, she stumbles upon a café she has never seen before on the corner of the street she passes every day. The name of the café is "The best place in the world is right here". Elyse was pulled by an unknown force and opened the door of the cafe. There were only six tables in the small cafe, and Elyse's favorite songs from the past were playing. She sat down at an empty table and ordered a cup of hot cocoa. As she listened to the music, a strange man came over and sat down in the seat across from her and talked to her. The man said his name was Luka, but didn't go into details, except to say that the table could read the thoughts of the person sitting across from her, and thus could sense her inner thoughts.
