I am also inclined to think that the experiment referred to as having been made on August 10 was the experiment between Brant ford and Paris, which was an important and noteworthy one, although an experiment between Bradford and Mount Pleasant was made somewhere about that date. This latter was a very short experiment, simply to see whether the wire would be used, and I am a little uncertain about its date. I am very much inclined to think it was on the day preceding the reception. The experiments described as having been made on August the 11th, in which instruments were placed, one in the porch of the residence, and the other in an outhouse on the grounds, were probably made on the day specified, but not for the first time. The instruments were arranged as described, with a triple mouth-piece, and three voices were transmitted simultaneously during the first week in August.
