There are many Bible story books for children, but few for the very young. THE BEDTIME BIBLE aims to help families to introduce their children to the Bible, with short, reassuring stories and prayers for bedtime reading. THE BEDTIME BIBLE has a small chunky square format and tells each story in just one spread. It uses short sentences with simple, descriptive language and beautiful, brightly coloured illustrations, ideal for children aged 3-5. There is a short prayer at the end of each story.
Despite its simplicity, it contains more than 40 stories from the whole Bible - the creation, Noah, Abraham, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Joshua, Samuel, David, Elijah, Daniel, Jesus, the disciples, the parables, the miracles - enabling children to see the whole picture of the Bible from a very early age, unlike the more typical, individual books for this age group.
