Long Barn Classics are different. This is emphatically not just another reprint series. Each title will be published in a limited edition of 500 copies, hand-numbered. They will printed on fine quality paper, cloth bound, embossed, and presented in a handsome slipcase. They will be illustrated by some of the best artists - chiefly wood engravers - in Britain. The first 50 of each will be sold with an accompanying folder containing limited edition prints of the full-page illustrations, signed and numbered by the artist. They will be beautiful books, not too precious to hold and to read, precious enough to be kept for a lifetime. The first title, to be published in September 2010 is A CHRISTMAS CAROL by Charles Dickens. With wood engravings by Andy English. Price for the main printing of 450 will be 20. Price for the special edition of 50 will be 50.
