Publisher's Synopsis
The author Sheryl and her sister Tara begin their lives in a rural area of southern Indiana. Their fathers' nomadic spirit moves them all over the United States, during which time nothing goes as planned. The Banana Peel diaries follows the sisters' journey through growing up together, getting married, and raising families. Once the sisters marry, they go their separate ways, continuing their father's legacy of moving from state to state, but they are never living in the same place at the same time. Even though they live miles apart, their bond remains strong as they share their antics with each other on their weekly phone call.
The Banana Peel diaries recounts real life events of the two sisters, who decide to look at the funny side of situations that go awry and laugh at themselves about it. The sisters believe that when plans don't go as orchestrated, those trials are much more memorable than when they do. Numerous mishaps fill their everyday activities, all of which they chose to laugh about and make fun of. One tragedy after another shape their childhood and adulthood into a humorous and fun-loving account of the sisters' lives.
