Publisher's Synopsis

Mike Nation, business genius and all-round scumbag, is depressed. He's come to realise that his l-time private accountant and money launderer has betrayed him, fleecing him out of a small fortune. On the verge of the deal of a lifetime, the timing couldn't be worse for Nation, so he has to act fast. He contacts his go-to hitman, Brian, and his young prote´ge´e, Sammy, instructing the pair to recover the cash and then 'disappear' the traitorous money man.

Meanwhile, the accountant works out that his boss is onto him, and he knows what needs to be done. He has to get rid of Nation, permanently. After a number of false leads, he finally finds a man who can help. The thing is, there aren't very many contract killers in Birmingham...

As the days pass and the money remains missing, Nation grows ever more desperate. Meanwhile, Brian meets Michelin-starred chef Rosie Bell, who opens his eyes and makes him see Nation for the man he really is.

When Nation's business partner flies in to conclude the deal, things reach a dramatic conclusion on board a steam train, the Shakespeare Express.
